This site is dead, nothing has ever been on it, nor will there probably ever be anything on it. However, here's some recent photos at 7000 feet somewhere between Houston, Tx and San Antonio, Texas. Thanks to my friend Paolo for letting me fly his airplane to and from San Antonio. He is so cool.

Randy photo 1

Yeah, that's me. 47 years old and already a heart attack survivor. Who'd a figured?

Randy photo 2

Hi everyone, (in my best 'be a total clown look'). Paolo at this point must know I'm really wierd.

Randy photo 3

Trying to tone it down just a hair, but end up looking like a fairy in this picture. BTW, the left hand is flying the airplane, but there isn't much to it as autopilot has heading and I'm just holding 7000 feet (adjust the trim knob every once in a while and, oh boy!, — the controller gives a new barometric pressure which means I need to change altitude 40 feet). :-)

That's Paolo ensuring that at least one picture was of him, but he missed and only got part of himself (this picture is not cropped in the upper R/H corner). I'm glad he managed to photograph himself, though. Here's Paolo's brief NASA bio (he's an astronaut, if you had to classify his occupation). Cool, huh? Paolo's Bio

What? You don't read Italian? Well, try this one then. Paolo's Bio

Darn it, I didn't mean that one, it's a French Wikipedia article about Paolo. Sigh... gotta work on the Google skills. Try this one. Paolo's Bio Finally, there's Paolo in English. Paolo's PR pictures

Randy flying the Grumman Tiger back to Houston. Zzzzzz....

Randy photo 6

Life is very cool at 7000 feet MSL (pun intended).

Randy photo 7

Boring.... Zzzzzz......... However, if you're in that airplane at that moment, it isn't boring. The view alone makes it worthwhile. We're flying just above the clouds, with a nice bright blue sky and an afternoon sun setting behind us. We're flying IFR so being right on top of the clouds is what we're supposed to be doing. Paolo filed IFR flight at 7000 feet and it turned out to be the perfect altitude. Check out the reflection off my glasses. Awesome!

Randy photo 8

Why in the world is this picture here? Gosh, Randy, there can't possibly be anything worthwhile here. (Hint, look through my glasses).

Randy photo 9

What, still can't see good?

Randy photo 10

About as close up a look you'd ever want (probably a much closer look than *anyone* wants), but for you non-aviators, the look from the camera doesn't do justice to what I see. Through my polarized glasses, you see the cloud level at 6700 feet that we are flying just above and the beautiful blue sky. There are some very cool cloud formations you can see here that you cannot see from earth.
